need to pick some brains-- I remembered how to clean scrape and grind my horse raddish but is has been a long time or I"m getting **** I couldn"t remember how much vinigar to put in to keep the extra-- some body help=== please e-mail me at firechief51@peoplepc.com thanks

yeah-- you can't buy anything in the store that comes any near it--- I have some from an old gent that used to work in the jail here- It is fairly mild and I have not seen any like it any where else-- to bad you are not close to chatham NY

1 cup horseradish
1/2 cup white, rice or wine vineger
1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste) sugar, to taste (optional)

I always use brown sugar, a little evaporated milk or cream and mustard to taste. All other ingredients as per the last post. We also rough chop initially because we can't see to fine chop for tears, then put the lot in the blender for final preparation. This came from my old mum and she's been gone for 20 years. Its handed down through the family.

Once made cooked horseradish sauce but have lost the recipe.
