I bought from a fellow recently not running. I have found it runs on starting fluid. He had replaced the original carb with universal zenith. Its seems like its not getting any gas. took it apart and cleaned it. It was like new inside. ????? ???

You have to verify if you have sufficient fuel from tank Also is your gas cap vented. If the float is not adjusted right, will not let gas past needle & seat. Also, look for a plug at carb or intake that might be missing causing a vacuum leak. Those up-draft carburetors need all the vacuum they can to pull air/fuel mixture up.~brad

The sediment bowl/shutoff assembly under the fuel tank may be clogged.
