You might also want to check out "Identifying your N Series Ford" when you're at that site. I should help you accurately identify what you're looking at. You'd be surprised how many people think they're selling an 8N when they're really selling a 9N or a 2N. Yes there are differences.

Search the archives over on the 'N' board on this site for LOTS of responses to this. Also go to The Smith's 8N Buyers Guide @8nford(dot)com. Try to make your best deal INCLUDING ALL the impliments the seller will part with. Good luck and TRACTOR SAFE,

Price, older models have Dist in front of engine-later on side-they are geared higher then other makes,saying that I have a early model!! Wayne
