I heard on the history channel about a small tractor,. onewheeled with tracks. It was made in the mid west during the second world war. The Luftwaffa used it to move airplanes and to tow small equipment. They called it a prime mover. Does anyone have info.

Oh those blighters .... they came over here during WWII and broke into the Essex factory and made off with the plans for the not-yet-developed Essex Tri-Directional "Uniwheel Flyer" plans. Next thing we know, they're towing their bombers with it. Those rascals, well what can I say. Rumor has it that the endeavour was a factor in them losing the war since it didn't work all that well and many planes were destroyed by faulty towing tractors before they left the ground.
