Need to know how to remove a broken leather points opening plunger from the recess in the back plate...approx. 1/4 of the plunger broke off in the recess...have tried a drill bit and dental pick to remove remaining portion and no luck. Any Suggestions? Is the removal of the whole back plate the only solution? I have loosened the 4 mounting bolts of the back plate, but the back plate will not come loose. What else could be holding the back plate? Is it possible a previous owner used gasket sealer to mount the back plate? Gentle prying of the back plate w/ bar did not loosen it. How much force will the back plate take without breaking the cast aluminum back plate?

He probably could not get the address to take, if this on dont try a google search for Briggs 5 S and you will see many sites/post. Some of them refer to disassembly/restoration
