It's been a whole day since your post. I hope your bride is ok. I hope they didn't find anything more extensive than what was in your first post. I'm sure we'll all agree that broken ribs and a punctured lung are plenty enough. Must be a heck of a gal to be willing to share coffee every morning with you Allan (I mean that only in jest). She is in our thoughts.

Jay

Hey Allen. I am so sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she is doing well and resting easily. I do not visit the board on the weekends so this is the first I have heard about the accident. I hope that you will give us regular updates as she recovers. We will keep you and your wife in our prayers. While she is doped up, maybe it would be a good time to start talking about Chinchillas!

Mornin' guys. Sorry to hear the latest Allen. Just got out of the hospital myself for 6 days. Seems my heart wants a break so it decided to shut down for spells sending me into the twilight zone and severe anxiety attacks. 7 doctors and probably 50,000 bucks later they have few answers for me. Have a new little pacemaker now so that should keep me around for awhile but no driving or Farmall work is getting done. I know all about those little pills your wife is getting and how drunk it makes you feel. Could hardly carry on an intelligent conservation with anybody, course come to think of it, maybe thats not so much of a change. Anyway I'm coming back slowly and will offer prayers for patience for you guys and I'm sure the big picture will come into focus for all of us soon. Love her up a little even if she's groggy, I hear that even those senses stay alert when we are "drifting". All the best Migraine

Hi Jay,

That right lung is a problem; understandably, the O2 Sats are way down and they are still very worried about pneumonia setting in.

Good news is that she is resting okay as they've got her doped up with pain killers and she can't keep her eyes open because of the muscle relaxers.

She's totally off in La la land taking her much needed vacation. :>)

Thanks,

Allan

Allan,
So sorry to hear about your wife. I normally don`t check the boards on weekends either (slow dialup at home).
The one good thing is that women are pretty darned tough.
Don`t be too hard on yourself, even the best laid plans can go to heck in a hurry.
Sounds like the way she went over and landed, it could have been a whole lot worse. Now if she can stay away from the pneumonia and infections
hopefully she`ll mend up like new. Ya, I agree an old plug is probably in order, especially as a confidence builder. With what you said about her being orphaned and all, I hope she recovers well and this doesn`t hamper her love of something that is such a fond memory for her. My wife lost her dad when she was six, and she remembers and enjoys some of the goofiest stuff, cause it`s what she remembers doing with her dad.
You and your wife are in my prayers and please keep us posted. Brokenwrench

Mornin' Bill!

I gently broke the news to her last night that I was taking her horse away and replacin' it with an old broken-mouthed "docile" type.

'Course, I could do this as she was drugged and asleep at the time. :>)

Hope everything is better today, and that your Wife is on the way to a speedy and full recovery.
PS: If a docile type is what you are looking for, you might want to check out "Badger". I believe that he approaching his 53rd (really) birthday!☺☺☺

Now the time to replace the horse with a docile TRACTOR. Something you don't have to feed and water everyday, and moves slow enough that if you fall off, you can probably still land on your feet, WALK back up to it, get back in the driver's seat, and carry on.

F12 Farmall would fit this bill nicely, and wouldn't clash too much with the rest of your Red Power...

Allan -
Just go find a horse that LOOKS the same as hers, only about 8 years older (and docile). When she gets home, just tell her she was out of it for a REALLY long time, and it is the same horse. Seriously - hope she gets better soon.

Yeah I been wondering that also.
BTW how big a hole did it take to bury the horse.

Why bury the horse when Mr. Allen can sell it to the soap factory. We're pulling for you my boy, just give your wife your love.
