Where on the web or maybe someone on this site has info, on how to go about building a 1/2 or 1/4 scale tractor? I thought it would be neat to build one of these but don't know how to start or where to start? I can't really find any websites on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
LBH

How do you get in contact with Mr. Prom?

Thanks,

LBH,
When I wanted to build a scale tractor several years ago I couldn"t find anything for plans. I would suggest you choose a tractor you really like ( My choice was the 1940 " John Deere "D" ) Locate that tractor someplace nearby. A good freind let me store his JD "D" so I was able to measure a part, scale it down on paper and build it. After you get enough parts made put them together. Some builders take an old garden tractor frame and build the scale from that. Just ask on this site for places to pick up tires and small parts etc.
I encourage you to try it.....good luck.
Rich (2/3 scale "D") from WI.

Thomas,
You might want to contact Patrick Prom in MN. He builds half-scale tractors and has sold six of them in the past years.
Buying scale model tractors won't be cheap....alot of time and money goes into them. I've heard of several good ones selling to big collectors in the $15,000 ~ $20,000 range.
