Well - it ain't pretty! It went up in about 8 hours (lots of little "finish" work left). I used old barn tin (bent up stuff), some old telephone poles, cheap trusses, scrap lumber, free windows/door, and cheap nails. Chickens don't mind how it looks. I got more in the door latch ($5) than I do in the rest of the coop! It's ugly, but it works. I needed it fast (had chickens before I had a place for them to stay). It is 13 1/2' square, and about 9 foot tall.

Wouldnt you know it. Another clear cut case of mis-representation. I was expecting to see a $3.00 chicken coop, but it turns out that I am subjected to a "Poultry Mansion" which far exceeds the humble abode that the Missus and I call home.

Don't mean to pick... It does look good for $3....but is it leaning, or is that just an illusion.....

not leaning - just a foot taller on one side. I don't have a flat spot on the place. I just didn't bother to level the hillside first.

I know!! You save money on coops so you can have nice looking N tractors like the one in the background. Nice way to get on the tractor discussion board without being O/T. Ed

About as cheap as the one I have. A guy told me if I pulled an old travel trailor off it was mine so I did. Now its a chicken house. Works great and the price was right.

Yeah - I got a 24' camper (it's in the background), but it belongs to my sister - and she didn't take kindly to me asking to use it for a coop!

All it needs now is a paint job or "restored" as some say.

Not a bad looking coop for the money! I tried chicken farming a while back and they all died. County extension feller was no help either, he couldn't tell me if had watered them too much or planted them too deep. ;>) JF
