Got a chance to see some of our old iron in mint shape in action, namely IH; lots of pics of F20s, a crawler and etc.

Watched this enjoyably silly Gene Autry romp this wx. It had an early ecological message: Horse-power instead of tractors, yr is 1938. Or at least tractors manufactured by greedy Thornton Farming Equipment.

Having lost his horse-trading business to Thornton, Autry signs with Helen Valkis' local Grainville radio station. Unbeknownst to Autry, the program is sponsored by none other than Thornton, and when the farmers cannot live up to the greedy manufacturer's finance plan, they blame Autry.

In typical Autry style, Autry not only bests Thornton on the business front, but also receives more attention at the local fair than the Thornton-sponsored Big City entertainment.

I watched it Sunday afternoon (EST) on DishNetwork on the Westerns Channel. I am sure it will be on again.

Nowadays I find myself watching the old Westerns just looking for a glimpse of old iron :)

Cute show, hope you can pick it up.

I have DishNetwork, but don't recall seeing the Westerns channel. They're braying about "free upgrade" to DVR these days, so maybe I'll have to see about it.

Mike, it was on this morning about 5 AM on the western channel here in west Texas, The tractors were called Mammoth tractors, they had Mammoth decals over the Farmall decals, and I have Directv, not sure how it works though, but it picks up the signal useing a plastic hubcap on'a stick.
