Hi Guys,

Somebody wanted to see this variable speed well.

There is a round transducer just above the gauge that senses the system pressure and that control box thingy speeds the submersed motor up or slows it down depending on demand.

No tank ('cept fer that little buffer guy), no pressure switch nor air in the lines to fool around with anymore. Kinda a neat system.

Allan

Allan,

I friend of mine put one in at his new house. The nice thing is that you can easily bump the pressure up or down depending on your needs. Downside is that when power goes out you lose your water, while a conventional system will usually have a flush or two left in the tank. Of course he's also putting in a standby generator; I suspect you have one as well.

Pretty efficient looking. Where's the original windmill that was probably there? Wasn't it variable speed too?
