I have a 69 MF 1100 that I need to replace the water pump on... does anybody know if this is a major task? It is a single therm/ single belt drive and the pulley on the crank is attached to what I think is the hydraulic pump on the other side. Do I have to pull the pump to get the belt off? I was also told all pullies are pressed on the shaft of the pump....any help would be greatly appreciated!

Jeremy the hydraulic pump won"t need to come out, There should be 4 bolts holding a flange to the crank pulley, remove these and push the flange towrd the front of the tractor to allow the belt to slip up between the flange and the pulley. As for the water pump pulley, yes it is pressed onto the pump shaft, and unless you have a lot of experience and a large press you would be ahead to take the pump off the tractor and take it to a MF dealer and let them do the press work. Hope this helps and good luck. willy
