I hate gettin' old.

Happened to glance at the plates on the wife's truck. They've been expired for four months now. Geeze!

'Course, come to think of it, that's probably about the last time that thing turned a wheel too. :>(

I once got stopped for "dangling objects". I had a VFW poppy and Leanin` Tree air freshener hanging from the mirror. He gave me a warning ticket for it even though I took them down while he was looking at my license and paper work. Funny thing is he never said a word about my expired tags.

I must be older than all of you guys. Mine went for 2 years before the man in blue reminded me. No ticket though.

Your doing something wrong. Twice when I falled to renew on time, vehical parked on street in front of house in Minneapolis, the cops were good enought to leave a reminder, about $35 a pop. They tend to ignore people running stop signs and speeders. A parked car doesn't argue.

Don't feel bad. I once let my driver's license get four months expired. I had lunch with Mom and Dad the day I discvered it. They looked at their's and they had expired two and three months respectively. We all went the next day to take the examine and all flunked. Bet they thought we were a bunch of rocket scientists!

Allan;
It's easy to forget about license plates...but just keep these few lines in mind from Casablanca in 1937, and life will be easier...

"You must remember this A kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh The fundamental things apply As time goes by."

Have a good week!☺☺☺

Mornin Allan! I do the same almost every year with the 52 Chevy. It comes due in January and I don't drive it in the winter months (my hound breathing on my feet puts out more heat). Ayyway outa sight outa mind, then come late March, I beg forgivenes from the local authorities.

A 1952 get some historical tags and you won't need to ever renew them again.

I think I use the old girl to much to keep historical tags. I'll look into it though. Thanks!

Don't know if it's age or not. 20 years ago I drove one car for an entire year on expired plates, didn't know it until time to renew again, and had to pay the penalty.

You guys just live right. Ifn I pulled out the driveway waiting to get on the highway, a deputy would stop and ask me if I was really going out on the road with those two day out of date tags. Just the luck of the Irish I guess. Harley

Same here, I couldn't get off my little island more than 20 feet before the local law got me for expired plates.

I guess that is one of the side effects of living so close to the Baltimore-Washington metro area.

Some states add a fee when you renew if they are expired to long.

Yuppers, our suckitary of state in Illinois decided to enact a law that if you are more than 30 days?(I think) late, they jack you another $20.00. It is bad enough ,already $79.00 for a little sticker to put on the tags, then if your late it is $99.00. Oh, for the love of more government laws.

I've done that too, gone an entire year on the harley. Another time, i had paid the registration, but forgot to put the sticker on the plate for over 2 years. Good thing i hadn't consumed any wobbly pops when I got stopped!
