Frost plugs out. Is this a common problem on say a Massey 97 or MM705? Are they difficult or expensive to replace.
Thanks

It shouldn"t be a big deal to replace the frost plugs, not a bad idea to change them anyway on an old engine, you should be able to get replacements, but I ended up making one this summer that I couldn"t find a replacement for..

Parts not too costly but labor masy be costly if it is behind the flywheel or other part of the back of the engine. Labor not too costly on the side of the block of nothing has to be taken off the engine. Sometimes the plugs come out but there may be other damage sich as a cracked block or head.

I am not sure what frost plugs are? Do you mean freeze plugs usually located on the side of the engine?
