well we started on beans yesterday. i got home from work last night and the crew was rolling. they had about 60 acres done and i did another 80 last night. combine moniter claims anywhere from 40-50 bushel 8>) we'll see what the elevator say about that?!?!?!? the only bad part is the beans are running about 11%. alot drier than expected. the ground is plenty wet though. we wanted to start on monday but with 3-4 inches of rain all we could do was sit and wait. anybody else rollling yet? how are you doing?

Buddy just did 50 acres 62bu across the scale. We have hit it all just right here. I've never seen a crop like this one. 50 miles east and it is burned up.

Hope everything goes well for you on them beans. My grandfather had the best luck with beans of anyone I know. My dad never to well with them. I do know grandad would plant them in the worst red dirt on the farm and they always made better than most other farmers around him. He paid a neighbor to roll them as he always worked his mules.

Leaves started dropping from ours the last day or so. Lots of four bean pods this year. It was scary dry this year. Got small showers just in the nick of time to keep things going all summer. Ten miles down the road they missed some of those showers, their corn died in early august.
