I just saw a newspaper ad announcing that Gillette has introduced a 5 (count'em 5) bladed razor. Come on. When is enough enough. Pretty soon the razor is going to be bigger than the whole side of your face. James

Electric screen Remington. Bought a new rechargeable 3000 series Remington on sale for just a few $$$ more than a cutter and screen for the old 100 series Remington. Has a side burn trimmer and a 2nd cutter to clip those tough curly whiskers that won't feed through the screen.

Anyone seen blades for a Shick Injector? Have had one (several) for 40 years. Still like them the best, however, new blades seem to be getting to be a real problem to find. Think they're planned to be obsolete, so's I can buy one of their new uns!

I still shave with my old trusty double edge adjustable I got in 1959. See no reason to change.A lot cheaper shave than new 2 or 3 blade units.

Me too. But I have had some problems finding blades. The last bunch I bought were no names at KMart. I haven't seen the really great Schick, Gillette, Personna or other name brand double-edge blades for years. The stuff I have found recently is not as sharp initially and will not hold the edge nearly as long as the great blades of the 70's and 80's. If I had known that good blades would become so hard to find, I would have invested in a lifetime supply!

I cut the crap out of myself with the disposable multi-blade razors I have been forced to use a few times because I forgot my old reliable double edger. Maybe I just don't have the knack of using the new stuff, but with my 40 or so year old Schick non-adjustable, I can get a close, quick shave and very seldom nick myself.

The razor companies must figure that to make money they have to come up with something new all the time. I guess that's progress. Or not.....

I tried their 3 blade and thought it shaved like a brick. No way I'm going to try a 4 or 5 blade.

I'd like to be able to understand their companies philosophy because I haven't bought a Gillette razor since they quite making the micro trac. I guess they just need a reason to keep raising razor prices. I don't think it helps their botom line but it does increase revenue.
