All loaded up to go to the Ozarks Steamorama tractor show in Republic, Mo, just west of Springfield. Puffy on the back almost cried and didn't want to start, he thought I was selling him. All the other tractors that leave on the truck never come back again. I had to assure him that I was just going to show him off. I still think he is having some issues over this. Kinda like taking your kid to the bus on the first day of school. He just knows he will never see you again. Is this just too much time with your tractors or what? Harley

Harley,
Whole setup looks really good, watch out for all the hot rodders and drag racers in Springfield this weekend..should only be a few thousand of them... :-)

Doodlebug, I was kinda hopeing there weren't any other real truckers on here, but you nailed me. Ya it's kinda like takin a fat girl home on Saturday night. As long as nobody sees you it's ok. I just tell everybody it's Big R's new flatbed division. We took it in to the truck store when we first got it and had them take all the Big R stuff out of the computer and it'll run about 75 now. Really makes the union, yuppie, oxford wearing, real Big R drivers sit up and take notice when we blow their doors off. They all wonder why theirs won't run that fast. Harley

Hey Harley, I took all mine on Tue. cause that was my day off. Glad I got them out of the yard before that big rain hit. We got 3 inchs. I'll be there everyday and I'll try and look you up. Heck I may even buy you and Jimmy King a corn dog or something.
Paul

Hey Paul, we came in on 60 Monday and Tuesday hauling hay from Mt. Vernon and I saw a bunch of tractors already there. We'll see you in the morning. Harley

Are you just that little rig can pull those big tractors!?

Looks good. Is that a 656 on the front?

I'm almost embarrased to tell you what the truck has in it. It is an old Roadway truck with the integral sleeper, and a 475 hp series 60 Detroit. Almost overkill I know, but I gave $7500.00 for the truck, and you can't touch a pickup for that, and I can haul something with this one. Nope, not a 656. Wish it was. They are both M's, and both are 1940 models. Both have live hydraulic power, the loader tractor has power steering, and the back one has a three point hitch. Both have wide front ends, and both have steel weights on the wheels instead of fluid. Too many thorns down here in the Ozarks to be putting fluid in them. Harley

Harley it's not over kill out west all the freight haulers have those high HP singles to drag those triples up and down those mountians , but I bet the rear end gets a good work out when under that kind of load .
