There are still some, but so many of us out there use cell phones now in case of trouble, whereas cb's used to be the only way of letting someone else know if you needed assistance. I run a pretty decent radio in all my vehicles, but the thing that seems to catch the most attention is the Wilson 5000 trucker antena perched on top - that causes a few comments, but hey, if I got something to say, I want everyone to hear it. They call me "Southern Pride" around the Tulsa, OK area - and most people understand why just as soon as I key up - it's a southern thang, sugar and I just can't help it, bless my heart! Have a good one, we going 10-10 on the side.

I have had a Cobra 29wxst in my pickup since i bought it 4 years ago. The weather band comes in quite handy for the local forcasts. I also keep it on to help truckers with local information and directions. For awhile I had a cobra 29 hooked up in my house and talked with a few local people most every night. Then they stopped talking and that was it.
