After installing my China made water water pump in my 99 GMC van, I got to thinking it may not be so bad after all. The water pump was made with some of the finest iron available. It probably has iron from green, red, grey, and orange tractors. With a cimbition like that it should last forever. Stan in Calif.

We foundry guys refer to that as "chinaloy". This is interchangable with "garbaloy". No MSDS available for this as it vaires from day to day depending on what they have to melt. By the way, there are no mechanical property standards because they can"t maintain the chemistry requirements, unlike we have to here in the states.

That felt good!

Bob, A business here bought some Chinese Molding Machines, Fung Chen Sheng Shin, or something like that...The castings would just break & crumble... I never saw a poorer grade of cast iron, except maybe some parts cast in India...
