Finally got the Ford running and took it out today, started to over heat so I went back home and shut it down. Turned out to be an upper radiator hose. After I put a new one on, fired it up and had white smoke pouring out of the tail pipe. Any ideas about what my new problem is? Valves?

All suggestions welcome.

Dug

Dug, the overheat didn't do it, it was the overheat and going back home to shut it down that did it in. It could be a head gasket, but I have a dollar that says it's a cracked or warped head.

Probably got it hot enough to blow the head gasket.

Is the perimeter of the exhaust ppipe wet?
Likely coolant in combustion chamber for some reason or another (head gasket)?
Dont run it hot or may blow the engine. They can heat up very fast.
Find out by a rad pressure tester.
