Between what period in the fall is the best time to re-seed a pasture area, so it is growing good come spring?

The best time is after you've corrected fertility and pH problems that were revealed by a soil test :^)

Really, that's the first step. And spray to kill the weeds. The grass will take care of itself when conditions are right, and when they're wrong seeding won't help.

Alot depends on what your planting. Myself I put out clover on a freash snow, and when I can do it when it is snowing. As far as grasses I don't know what is right but I have planted in the fall and the spring.
