Working on an early model quad range 4430 John Deere. When hydraulic oil gets extremely hot(field work), the two speed won't shift from the high to low side. The only other function that is out of the ordinary is the disc will raise but will not lower. I checked the trans. pump flow and pressure and it was well within specs. If anybody has any other ideas I would be open for suggestions. Thanks in advance.

sbr,"hot" oil indicates an internal oil leak. An excellent place to start checking is the scv that won't let plow down. Plug-in a 3000 psi gauge and see what's happening. Tx Jim
