Sounds about right for N. Texas.

We are currently paying $1.147 for off road diesel. That is based on the futures market and will soon run out. The last I heard, when this allocation is up, our new prices will be closer to $1.80/gal.

Down there in the banana belt you typically have the best prices in the country, enjoy it.

Allan, $5 says that if you are expecting to find it for $2.19, you won't.

Sounds about right. Last load I got was 2.03, but that was a month ago too.

Neighbor has an old beater diesel pickup he wants to sell; just about ready to buy the darned old thing just to try and keep ahead of these fuel prices!

Allan,

Just don't let the DOT catch you on the road with red fuel in it, it'll cost you a thousand buck's in fines. Here in SE MN the DOT is really after the diesel pickup truck's with their little sample pulling hand pump's.

Of course you are going to burn that more expensive "low sulfur... my butt!" fuel if you do buy that truck right? After all that is the law.

Allan, these days, the value of old cars & trucks fluctuates, depending if the tank is full or empty.....
