Just bought a 18 oz jar of peanut butter at wally world for one dollar. Special from 1.47. Is the price of peanuts that bad? A couple of years ago I couldn't afford to buy them. Peanut farmers must be worse off than corn or wheat. Yea, I know, you smartaxxes, oil is up, peanuts are down.

True to the South, I have fried turkeys, gator, duck, goose, just about everything that walks, crawls, flies, or slows down enough. Never had a fire, but it will burn, it clouds all to h@ll around 35 to 40 degrees and gets thick. At $15 - $30 for 2.5 gallons, you would think they (someone) is making alot of money. I hear that deep fried turkeys are a rage now up north, I was thinking the oil was fixin to double. We eat our weight in boiled peanuts too. Do not see how there are excess with all that is used/made from them. Mr. Carver done good.

Wonder if they will work in a shelled corn stove ?? Or make peanut oil from them that should burn. Or we could deep fry all those turkeys in DC ?

If you can buy pure peanut oil, you can make diesel fuel out of it, it just does not do well in cold weather.

With the amount of idiots that burn down the neighborhood every Thanksgiving using peanut oil you would think you could just burn the stuff straight for at least heating oil. I like the idea of taking a trip to DC with some friers.
