Sounds like you're somewhat broke and so here's a long-range solution to your problem. Park the tractor, some day when you have some spare money you'll be glad it's there to work on. Then, park the truck and ride your bicycle if possible. No, I'm not being a smart guy, just giving out some sound advice. If you are so strapped that a tranny repair has you dumping your Cub in a fire sale, then you need some budgeting help. Are you living from paycheck to paycheck? Probably I would guess. Do you stash a bit of money away every check in a savings account? Probably not I would guess. I know I'm gonna hear a lot of flak over my post and you're gonna say "but I can't get by without my truck" etc. but in my opinion, it's the best advice that's been given so far (with all due respect to the other posts).

And with all due respect to you, Manny, things happen and people get into financial binds. JD Kid appears to me to be taking the proper approach- sell the toys to keep the necessities going. Neither of us know his circumstances, but parking the truck and riding a bicycle probably has about a 99% chance of being completely impractical, either because of distance to work, need to look for work, need to carry tools, physical limitations, etc. My hope is that he will continue to try to do the best he can under the circumstances, and move forward.

I have an 89 S-10 Blazer for sales for parts. The motor is locked up in it, but everything else is OK. The rear end was replaced about 1000 miles before the motor quit.

I was asking $400, but I'm willing to negotiate for a YT guy. I live in Southern Ohio, near Cincinnati. C'mon on down, bring your trailer, and I'll help you load it.

And I agree with others in the string. Hang on to the Cub. When times are a little better, you can go back to playing with it.

Email me if you're interested.

Put it on ebay opening at 99 cents with no reserve, take what it brings. Best way to sell fast is auction absolute, not the best way to get the most money out of it normally but if fast is the plan that gets you sold in a week.

How fast? If you need money for it, then giving it away is not a suitable option, but .....
1) Reduce the price anyway.
2) put it on ebay and take what someone thinks it is worth - ie more than anyone else values it
3) Advertise in the appropriate enthusiast magazine and wait and hope.
You have to accept that if you need to dissolve your assets fast there is a financial cost - just supply and demand.

Look around the site at the price of different cubs in about the same condition as yours and price yours cheaper. Take some pictures that you can email. Price sells.

Put it on a trailer or transport it to an area where there are hobby farms and park it someplace with a for sale sign on it. There is lot in the town near where I live you can pay a small fee and put stuff for sale on it right on the main drag. I sold a little Kubota up there and doubled my money on it.
