i have a 1935 john deere A that will only run on one. i have rebult the head it has a new manfold and new valves it has spark at both plugs and i am using a mag. off a running tractor. the carb. is the only thing i have not replaced. i would like help with ideas

Will it go ahead and fire on both when under load? You do know that they will miss on the right side most of the time when they are at idle. If it misses under load, would put new plugs in first, then go from there.

Possibly your spark timing is off. One spark is at the correct time and the other one is firing at the top of the exhaust stroke? I think it could happen.

Here is where I would start.

Double check valve lash. Could have a valve hanging open.
Bad plug wire?
Bad spark plug? They often get a little fouled and will not fire under compression.
