Hey y'all,
Well, I have about given up on putting fatter tires (16.9 X 30 ) on my 4000 as I can not seem to get rims for it. I will just buy new 12.4 X 36 tires for it and use my old rims. I was going to have them sand blasted and clean em up good. What would y'all paint the inside of them with? I was thinking of epoxy paint or something that would be smooth and protect the metal if I ever filled them with fluid. I probably would just use windshield wash or something simple, no CaCl.

Thanks for the info,
Stay cool,
George

Sandblasting and a good painting with regular paint works.

If you filled them it goes in the tube, not on the wheel....if the guy is careful.

Around here the mix of choice today is 50-50 antifreeze and water.

Don't know why you want fatter tires but if you are in ag you want a thinner tire for better traction (psi on the soil).

Thanks for the response. I wanted to protect the rim for a possible tube leak. I have the narrow and I need better flotation for some marshy areas. I brsuh cut and do some dirt work mostly. It just seems like I could back push more dirt with my 9N before slipping than with my Diesel 4000. This of course should be a whole different story. Many of the guys around here use them 16.9s. Thanks again,
George
