When two tractor rides meet in a small midwest town. I've been too busy to go up town but snagged a shot on the way over. To many trees to give you all a really good look. This is about half I saw with more chugging their way into town!

Nice aerial photo work Sloroll! I took some crop pitchers from my 152 once. Put in about 30 degrees of bank to get that darn wheel out of the frame and that is where it gets interesting. Just try to fly the plane looking through the camera viewfinder! Grins Ed

Hey Ed, On a 150 you can unscrew the window latch. That window will fly right under the wing letting you get a better angle on your subject. On a bumpy day things can get interesting fast if you don't have help running something :? ) It'd be nice at time to be an octipus!

My flying days are over! Couldn't possibly pass a third class medical. It is fun though to do some armchair navigating now and then. I still have my CDL. What does that say for highway safety? Regards, Ed

A good bit of this stuff appears to be newer machines but, thats not my question. I want to know why ANYONE would want to do this. After they get through do they all set around and complain about the price of gas & diesel?
I did really like the scenery though.

Flurette, probably for the same reason you like to play golf, tennis, go to piano concerts, ball games or whatever. Cause you can and you enjoy it, and you ain"t hurting anybody else by doing it. It"s called freedom of choice. Harley

Yep, thats Iowa for sure! Hot and humid and hazy and field after field of straight rowed corn and soybeans. Cool pictures! Brings the memories of summer days back very vividly in my mind, some of them not all that pleasant. others worth more than words. keep it right side up and keep on flyin. Migraine

Nice. Be careful up in that tree. LOL.

I often work out at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, and a few years ago drove up a week or so before a nascar race and waited for a break in an endless line of tractors heading...didn't know at the time. When finally got to the parking lot, about like yours, a sea of old beauty. Has become an annual thing since. Heritage Corridor Tractors Association (I think is called) that makes a 3 day jaunt from the track along the corridor to Morris (I think is where it ends). They have pictures posted on their website chicagolandspeedway.

That kind of thing can give you goose bumps, huh Sloroll? Beautiful picture. Be careful climbing down from that tree, must be pretty tall. LOL.

Mark

They all were wearing bandanas and carrying siphon hoses Galen. They are in Grinnell this morning.

I've been to Grinnell a few times. Do some warranty work For Wenco (Jeld-wen) windows. One of my wife's friends from High School married a guy named DeKoening from Grinnell.

Yup Wenco is one of my best customers. Great people to work with. One more shot for you. It is very humid so the sky is hazey. Tough to get a good shot holding a stick (two?) between your knees, holding attitude, altitude and shooting out a windy winder. I need a copilot.... possibly a stewardess!

Beautiful. Keep the pictures coming. I"m old and crippled, and short of breath, and can"t get out much any more, so the pictures you guys post are the bright spots in my days. Delbert from Lincoln
