Farmall 706 problems

The tractor will run great for awhile with the choke off but then if you give gas it wants to die so I pull the choke out and it will stay running but it runs rough and will die once put under any load. we just had the head and carburator rebuilt. do you think it could be something with the governor? any help wold be apprectiated! Thanks!

Well the one thing that comes to mind is that the stem of the fuel bowl is pluged and not letting enough gas to come thru , remove the fuel line at the carb and turn the gas on and see if you have a good stream of gas comming from the line if not then that is the problem . I have found all sorts of things in the inlet from pices of wood to Bugs . If this is the case then it would be in your best intrest to clean the tank.
