Heard on the news today that police on both sides of the border closed in on a group that had dug a 100 yard tunnel underneath the border between a commercial building in Aldergrove, British Columbia in Canada and a private residential house in Linden, Washington on the USA side. Police had apparently been monitoring the operation for something like 8 months or so. Do you think that maybe tractors were being smuggled across the line? Maybe a John Deere broke down 400 yards into the trip and messed up the whole operation? That's what happens when you mess with those green giants.

Since Lynden Wa. is my home town and I have driven by that old farm house for the past 20 years, it seemed odd when the place sold and absolutely no activity was ever apparant since the sale. The party who bought it obviously was connected to the greenhouse directly across the border. By the way, all there is at that point of border is a small grassy ravine seperating the two countries. But with all the new cameras installed in the last 18 months, It took a lot of guts to try this 800 feet from the border station. Believe me we have a severe drug infusion here in Wa and this won't be the last tunnel thats snuffed out. Migraine

It was built so them old geezers could still get over to Canada and get them cheap prescription drugs if the U.S. was to close off the border.
