I've used PB Blaster with success. Took less than a day.

Depends on why it's stuck. If it was run without oil or coolant until it locked up, nothing other than a wrench is going to free it up.

Rusted stuck engines I've freed very successfully using vinegar. It eats the rust away, leaving you nothing but bare metal.

A can of Coca Cola sometimes works. It also dissolves rust. Saw it work on a stuck MM UDLX engine.

I had posted on a previous thread, that I like to us a product called "TriFlow". It works great!

Another guy stated that he uses brake fluid mixed with diesel fluid mixed 1/3 to 2/3 respectively, and that works great as well.

I never tried it, but several guys I know swear that Iodine works well... The kind you put on a cut. They say it dissolves the rust.

What I use is tranny fluid. Let it sit a week or so then top that off with turpentine and let that sit a few days. So far it has worked for me on every engine I have tried it on.

Hi old. Turpentine??? My grandmother used to make us take a dose with sugar for something but I don"t remember what it was. Probably sore throat. I am curious though about it"s use you mentioned above. I seem to remember it being a little sticky but it has been a long time since I have seen or had any use for it. What effect does it have on metal? Does it mix with transmission fluid and does it leave a residue? Sorry for being so inquisitive but how else can we learn old and tried but fresh ideas? I think you were the feller who posted how to trap yellow jackets using a five gallon bucket, water, and meat hanging on a string. Did you know snuff is the best for wasp stings?

Well if its the real turpentine not paint thinner, it seems to eat rust, and with the tranny fluid it seems to pull the tranny fluid down where it might not get. As far as a residue it doesn't seem to leave any and what is left in the cylinders just seems to burn out when and if you get the engine started. The turpentine trick was told to me by a guy that had a tractor dealer ship in a near by town and he said he was told the trick by a man in his 90s and that was years ago. Sadly both of them have since passed away.
