Ok - I"m starting a "Buy Allan Some Implements Fund"...
Reason: Every picture he posts has that "plow" in it - either upside down or right side up. (Who can tell the difference?!?!?)

Allan - How can you operate with just a "mutated" plow?? I"ll let you know when I get 20 bucks together and we"ll go shopping... : )

Implememt Poor is an understatement. I fergot that old tractors need stuff to pull too.

Should I make up a list of things I need? :>)

Was talking to the neighbor across the fence yesterday. He was pulling a 42 foot cheisel that had to fold back on itself two times so it would fit on two lanes of the road.

Betcha he's really gonna be impressed with my little 10 foot toys when I get 'em in the sandpile. :>)

Now wait just a minute. On a 320 acre farm, the fence is a mile away. What'd you do, walk?

We are having fun aren't we...up side down plow....who ever heard of such a thing. ( I know what it's for....just ribbin you)

That's concerning me too, 'cause rattlesnakes aren't my favorite critters.

I can hear 'em complainin' when I get too close with the pickup; 'spose they'll really beller when I'm afoot. :>(

I like it when they holler....at least you know they are there and that they saw you. It's the converse I worry about.

Later,

Mark

Alan,
It's not the size of the implements - it's how many you have collecting rust behind the barn. My neighbor has several older pieces that I've tried to buy, but he won't sell anything - claims he might need 'em someday... Yeah right - he needs that old JD 14 baler when he's got a Vermeer and a Heston round baler...
Get your list together - some of the older guys on the forum (old, RustyFarmall and NECowman) may have some deals on stuff you can get.
Give me a call in a week and I'll send the check to ya' - BR549 is the number... : )

Well dang, Allen! Went to a sale here in SE Nebraska, last week. They had a 1958 Ford 600 Grain/Cattle truck that went for $600! Shoulda brought a lot more - it was in good shape and ran well. I did get a set of Omaha Standard combo grain/stock racks for my pickup for 50 cents!
