For those of you who have never seen Allan AND one of his tractors, here you go. See the rollover plow back there? It's just gotta be him. Harley

I hate to rain on your parade, but that CAN'T be Allan.... No shiney new paint...No Armour-All-ed tires.... And when did you ever see a picture of Allan ACTUALLY ON a tractor. I'm convinced he's not really a person....Just a computer generated voice with a digital camera.

Yes, you figured me out.

I go by the name of "The Real Ron" on occasion also. :>)

The wife and I were commenting on how the "shiney tractors" had lost their sparkle and she said she felt 'bad fer 'em'. I just told her that they are happy now. They are out in the dirt where they were designed to operate.

Yep, I be one happy feller now. :>)

Curiousity gets me to wondering where ol' Ron dissapeared to sometimes. I'm wondering if it doesn't involve a straightjacket in some manner.....

I try to clean up, paint, and maintain every piece of equipment I get my hands on too. They get dirty, and get their fair share of scratches, but stuff seems to last longer when it's taken care of. One of the things I've found is when cleaning equipment, I've found countless hundreds of loose bolts, cracked metal, missing parts, and out of adjustment items. I figure cleaning equipment has saved me mucho dinero over the years.

Plus, it's MUCH easier to work on something when it's not plastered with grease and dirt.

John,

I dunno, but I think ol' Ron got the door locked on him from the inside out. Remember that last post he made? Very, very nasty. I think Kim had had a belly full of him by that time and put a block his ISP drop; just my theory.

I agree on the machinery. Clean 'er up good. Besides being good for the unit, it is darned good for your ownership and pride too.

I am just as proud of my old clunkers that I've repaired as the guy who has spent all that money on the brand new stuff.

Like Mark and I were saying: iron is iron. If it worked yesterday, it will work today as well. :>)

I'm pretty sure I know where "The Real Ron" got off to if you really want to know.

He's still talking about ampacity and sounds like a Sears propaganda machine.

Still hasn't learned to use "In my opinion" or "My 2 Cents" when he posts.

Kind of miss the guy. His abrasive tone cracked me up.

Joe,

Actually, I kind of had a lot of apathy for the derned guy as I used to have that same abrasive manner of speaking and conveying a point.

Running thru the world a bitin', a scratchin' and a kickin'. Took a lot of years to learn my people skills (weak as they still are). :>)

Oh well, hope he is doing okay.

North East Kansas Allen. Doing a little demostrating this afternoon. It handled the 8X18's pull type better then I'd guessed.

Wow!

8 eighteens. My mind won't even try to wrap around that one. Looks like it is doing one heck of a nice job too.

Bet that tractor and plow is worth more than my whole set up..... ...including the land. :>)

Thanks for sharing; don't see that every day.

Ain't that the truth. Should be in bed counting the hay bales I'm going to feed tomorrow, but just can't bring myself to go yet, and when my overworked brain sees something like this, it just screams out "You know somebody this would fit!!" Oh well, have a good one, Harley
