Just for the record, lawn darts weren't outlawed because the US is a "sue happy country". They were outlawed after years of lobbying by the mother of a child injured a lawn dart. I believe the child was killed when a dart penetrated his skull.

LOL, When I saw the title to this thread, I couldn't but think that you were refering to the F-16. I guess I have been in too long. When I was in Germany, the base I was at held the record.

I knew they had outlawed those things, no clue why. I guess just another way to protect ourselves from ourselves. Last summer I spotted a set at a garage sale and picked them up. The wife asked why I wanted them as we already have a set. I simply explained that if we broke one of ours we would have an extra. Never knew they had become valuable though. Took a look on Ebay a minute ago, only found one set and they are up to 26 bucks and still have over 5 days left. You have to read the listing, talk about the seller doing everything he or she can to cover their rear end!!! For display only, that's crazy.

Looks like Ebay pulled the plug on that auction.

I reckon they're illegal so as to keep some babysitter who's done had enough from pinnin' Junior and Sissy to the fescue, crabgrass and chickweed out back.
