Becky I typed in Tri-Tractor in yahoo search and found an article that said Sears had the David Bradley Co. to make them for them in the 50's , it was to be a garden tractor.

The David Bradley "Tri-Trac"was indeed a garden tractor.2wheels in front, rear like a scooter, but is not the same "Tri-Tractor" she is referring to.

That sounds like a copy-cat of the Tri-Directional (TDX). Check the archives. You might be onto something. Watch for the black helicopters.

I just tried that. Hmm? Is orange, is rear engined, and looks remarkably similar to a..., naw, it couldn't be. Maybe one of them G guys over at the orange board knows something about it.

Wow, I thought on the old AC's the operator sat off to the side, but found a photo under the Tractor Photo section in the Allis Dept second page and the resemblence is remarkable to the tuff-bilt. Good way to keep an old dead horse alive, I guess.

Several companies tried to match the Allis G for truck farming Allis G,later Simplicity G,Hefty G,John Blue,Tri-Tractor's Tuff Bilt,a couple others I can't recall and lately the Saukville Tractor.Tri Tractors has been on hold, but I recently heard that new funding/management to restart the company has been found. All of these tractors were/are generally the same,in fact, some advertising photos look shared between companies...Interesting niche design,to be sure as it has been around for almost 60yrs.

You have definately arrived at the correct place, personally I know nothing about your tractor, but I am always amazed at the questions that get answered here. Be patient, someone who knows the answer to your question will eventually read this.
