Hi All, I live in the NE (MA) and own a Farmall Cub with belly mower, plow, disc, brush hog and sickle bar. Several of my friends in the country have asked me to do some cutting of small acreages with either the brush hog or belly mower. I have been thinking about doing this as a part time business but am wondering how much to charge? I already have a pickup and trailer so I will need liability insurance. I know its hot dirty work but I grew up in OK on a Farmall C doing the same thing and it make me happy doing it so why not? Thoughts, feedback, recommendations?
Thanx

You can make some good money mowing for other people. When I started out I called different ones doing mowing in my area to get a feel for the pricing in my area. Here in southern calif I get 85.00 an hour for a 6 ft. mower. If I bid by the job and not by the hour I usually make more. Hope you do ok. Finished lunch, and got to go do some mowing. Stan in calif
