Looking at a 560 Diesel. Professionally done major engine overhaul, has the press-fit sleeves installed by a machine shop, rebuilt cylinder head, rebuilt injection pump and injectors, new clutch, new paint, new wiring, new seat, new steering wheel, new guages. Rear rubber is 95%. TA and brakes are strong. Has a narrow front, standard drawbar, and three hydrualic valves. This guy has all of the paperwork on what he's spent. Probably the nicest 560 I've ever seen. Could any of you guys ever bring yourself to pay $7500 for a 560?

They probably do have $7500 in it, but I don't think they will get that for it. A narrow front also hampers value and you'd be looking at another $700 or $800 at a boneyard for a good factory IH wide front. Also you stated it has a standard drawbar. Does that mean it doesn't have fast hitch? That would be another drawback. Most 560's came with fast hitch, although not as good as factory 3 point, it still could be useful for a lot of applications where you would use 3 point. All in all, the tractor is grossly overpriced no matter how pretty it looks.

4500 maybe, 7500 no. for that money you can get a lot more tractor and just as good.

Around here, over the last 10 years or so, the average 560 goes for 2500-3000. With all the work done on the one you are looking at- add in the repair bill..... .

depends how bad you want it. It is hard to pay too much for good ones. But if you are patient restored tractors sell at auction all the time for less than the cost to fix them up.
