Had the generator rebuilt on my JD 70 D. Have had various charging problems for a few years. Even after putting on a new wiring harness still had problems. Finally quit charging so I pulled it off and sent it to Shearer elctric, the local JD dealer. Now it works great and looks brand new inside and out. Was not cheap, but I did not give it a second thought when I saw the amp meter working.

Something I learned about spending money. When it's spent it's gone....outta sight, outta mind. Buttttt what it bought is with you forever to enjoy.

Course I realize that you gotta have it in the first place.

my generator is gettin a rebuild as we speek i know it wont come back panted and all but i know that it will last for years and years my mother had the alternator rebuilt for her car the guy said it would olny last a year or so and that was ten years ago and its still going strong

sounds good to me and if you want it painted, get a rattle can and paint her up.
