Does anyone know of an aftermarket supplier for Kuhn disc mower parts, such as discs, bearings and seals?

Thanks!

I would expect that most, if not all the bearings and seals could be obtained from a local bearing supplier. Discs can be welded, depending on how badly they've been beat up, or whether or not they've thrown the knife retainer. Kuhn also supplied a lot of cutterbars to John Deere for their MoCo's, along with supplying mounted disc mowers to Deere and NewHolland. You could try both for spare parts, provided you have the old parts to match up to the green or red paint. Otherwise, I'm not aware of any aftermarket suppliers for Kuhn parts. Also, IMHO, Kuhn builds the best disc mower on the market today. Best of luck.

Yeah, there are many outlets for OEM parts, but I was trying to find an aftermarket distributor that might be a little cheaper. I was introduced to Kuhn in 1975, and have found them to work well, although many others do as good. Kuhn is dominate in this area, but many of the other brands, that have lesser price tags, are making inroads. The discs can be welded and patched, and normally, at the price of new ones, this is the case. I just bought a rebuild kit for the hydraulic cylinder on my Kuhn mower, and for 4 rubber seals it ran $64! When I get ready to buy another mower, I will check the price of parts that you normally replace, and availability, before buying the mower. This seal kit I just bought, was the straw that broke the camels back.
Thanks!
