Hi there.

I was wondering what were the best brand of spark plugs for this tractor and what kind of spark plug wires to get for it?

Thanks,

Jon

I use anything but Champion.. I don't know what happened to Champion spark plugs.. They used to be the best.. I had a Gardner Denver air compressor with a Continental 6 cylinder gas engine. I tuned it up just as I always did. Complete tune-up , with plugs ,points , condencer, wires and cap and rotor. It started like brand new one time... I looked at everything, the plugs were firing out of the cylinders , so I figured that wasn't the problem. I checked the fuel system, it was ok.. What Gives???Out of desperation I changed the plugs again with Autolite plugs. It started first time everytime for years after. I find if a chain saw or other small engine craps out, I change the Champion plug out and replace it with anything else it usually takes care of the problem. I hope I don't step on Champion Co.s toes, but you got a problem. you gotta take care of it.. Many of my friends have run into similar situations with Champions. As far as wires I use NAPA tractor universal wires and make them to custom length for the application...
