Hey guys, I thought some of ya'll might get a laugh out of this: You will love this!!!!! Dear Tech Support: Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other Rrograms and now monitors all other system activity .Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and FIshlng 7.5. and Raclng 3.6 I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favourite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0. but the unlnstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help! Thanks, A Troubled User REPL Y: Dear Troubled User
This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHINGI!! It is also impossible to de!ete Wife 1..0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Allmony-Child Support.. I recommend that you keep Wlfe 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but It tends to be very high maintenance Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs. such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and DO Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens. the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 ! WARNINGIII DO NOT. under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

Best of luck, Tech Support

Good joke but I don't feel very sorry for you guys who are unhappy with any versions of the Wife OS.

I have never been able to get the girlfriend software to run well enough to even think about being able to upgrade to Wife.

Last version of girlfriend I tried was 5.0. Got a error message little over a year ago that it wasn't able to run that application at all due to bandwidth restrictions in it's own system. Proceeded to crash my system and uninstall itself.

Just found out this last week that it apparently found the bandwitdth almost immediatly after uninstalling itself from my system to install itself elswhere. As a result it has been upgraded to the fiance trial on another system intending to install the Wife OS version before the end of the year.

You guys that are still successfully using Wife 1.0 are some of the richest among us all. It may be high maintenance but have to think it is worth it.

Thanks for the laugh after this last week I needed it.

jt

Cute, but I never was one of those guys. My hat goes off to the gals that put up with the guys that are still "one of the boys" but want the benefits of married life.

Happily married to my high school sweetheart since 1961 cause she comes first.

I'm with you Mark, I never had a problem with my program because I just learned to live with the system default settings!

Happily married to MY high school sweetheart since 1984.

Dave

Back in 1983 I went from girlfriend 5.0 to wife 1.0
While every day has not been a bed of roses it has been great over all.

You have to make sure that you have the correct program before you install it and then once you have it you need to keep adjusting it to make it work.

The main problem with most is that wife 1.0 or husband 1.0 can be deleated so easy and replaced by 2.0 that they take that option rather than working through the problems with 1.0
This is a 50/50 deal but most seem not to know that.
