My Farmall F-12 has a pto pully that turns whenever the clutch is out. How do you line this machine up with your driven equipment safely?

Basically eyeball it and trial and error just like I do my JD's. Hook the belt over the implement or what ever you need to drive, lay it along the ground as straight as you can and put a twist in it if needed. Then pull the tractor up as straight as you can and go past where you need to be,stop the pulley then have someone set the belt up over the pulley then I back up until tight. If out of alignment it will just fly off then you try again.

How long is the belt. What are you driving. If you cant put a twist in the belt it may(will)flop off the pulley. It takes alot of practice and a good eye to align a belt. You may have to level the machines also.

Be careful and play safe.

Mike M has pretty well covered the basics of how to line up a flat belt. Just start the pulley to turn and you can see what to do. For a belt of that length you will need to put a twist in it. Or mabe a double twist if pulley and planer run the same direction.
