It's not an uncommon walk-behind - I come across them fairly often. Model "D" was first offered ( as far as I know) in 1949 and came with a Briggs Model N engine at 2 horse. Model E came with a Briggs "9" engine at 2.6 horse, and Model "F" came with a Briggs Model "14" at 4.3 horse. There was also a model "H" and "R", the latter being a rider rather than a walk-behind. Available attachments included a cultivator, reel mover, sulky, dirt plow, snow plow, sicklebar mower, disc harrow, hiller, weeder, furrower, seeder, dump cart, scraper blade, lawn roller, etc. Finding engine parts should not be a problem, the Briggs & Stratton engines are common. As far as the rest - find used, replace with generic parts, or make them.
