I own a IH240 Utility, and would like to spread the wheels for hill work, so I loosened the bolts and on one side, the wheel came out with no problem. So I went to the other side, loosened the bolts, and it was stuck, so I heated up all around with a acetelyne torch, it smoked real good and was hot for sure, but would not move, so I took it to a garage and asked the mechanic to see if he could get it to move, He heated it up real good, and no luck, it would not move. Now what ? I don't want to melt the thing, but sure would like to move it, I sprayed it with WD40 for two days, and still no luck, any body got any suggestions, thanks for your time...Joe

Thank you thejdman01, I sure thought of that, but not much to hook on to, and I don't want to break something with that, guess what I'll do is keep wrapping it with a slug hammer and drive it a while with the bolts loose, see if that works, but then I could rent a porta-power and while I have pressure on it, then keep tapping it with a big hammer, maybe !!!!! that thing is sure stuck, huh !!

As I told Countryman2, I may have misinformed the ad, I was talking about the Front wheels, and yes, I have drove it a while thinking it would loosen up, but it did't, I put oil on it, it's the front left wheel, and heated it good, but still stuck, I even took a big big hammer and beat the heck out of it, but still stuck... oh what a mean one>>>>>>

Joe , I suggest you leave the wheels as they are and fit quick release dual wheel just for the work on your difficult steep ground.

Not many tractors have left and right hand threads and you failed to inform us you had a left hand spanner. Please tell us the true reason if there is any threads left, sugest blow them off fit new studs and nuts preferably right hand thread. Don't mean to be flipant but usualy the right hand wheel would have the left hand thread and the left one the righthand thread.
Best of luck C.

Thanks for your reply Countryman2, I hope I haven't misinformed you, but I was talking about the Front wheels, not the rear wheels, (IH240U) hope that's not a problem C, I just wanted to get the front wheels a little wider for hills, thanks for your time.
