No, but I used to work in the foundry at the Waterloo Tractor Works and when I would walk into work I would see a Chevy truck that said Powered by John Deere on the side. I think they used it to haul stuff to Dubuque or the Quad Cities. Rather interesting way to test an engine, I thought.

I have a flyer (someplace here in this mess) that JD put out in 1987 that says they will be producing engines for trucks (medium duty)

they had them to bolt directly into Fords, IHC's but not GM products... (we ask--we wanted one)

then sometime later a friend of ours working for Detriot Diesel said they and JD were working on engines together-- and my cuz's buddy has one that says Detriot outside but has JD stamped everywhere on it.
