I"m a newbie to the tractor world and I"m the proud new owner of a 1968 IH 140 tractor. I was wondering if there is a need for any lead additives to be put into the gas tank if I use un-leaded gasoline? I really don"t want to ruin my first tractor! Thanks a lot for the help!

Mike: Unleaded gas will not hurt your 4 cylinder gas Farmall no matter what year or size. Been using it in my tractors since it first came on the market.

Lead was only ever a concern with high performance, high rpm engines. Farmalls don't fit that catergory.
