Hello, I have inherited my Grandfathers tractor. I plan to restore it as time and money allow. I have no real idea what brand it is. I just know that it has a four cyl. engine, 4 speed trans., tires are close together in the front, right and left hand brake, clutch is on the left, red paint is flaking off, hand crank in front, supposedly is either a Case or Allis - Chalmers and supposedly was made around 1948 or 1950. (Whew!) Would anyone be willing to look at a few pictures and see if they could help me determine the make and model of my "new" tractor? I certainly would appreciate it! Thanks in advance, David Galloway Western N.C.

It sounds like it is probably an Allis Chalmers WC model.

check 'tractor photos' in 'Galleries', Look for something close to what you have. Look for engine numbers on block, check by clutch, differential/rear end housing, around steering wheel area and side/floor area for a tag with manufactures information. RN

David, you could go to the left side of this page and click "Tractor Photos" and look through it to see if you find one like it.
