I was sitting here at work, hoping the weather will cooperate on this three day weekend, thinking about all the stuff I wanted to do. Then it hit me, I wouldn"t be worrying about my hobbies, or what to do with all the blessings I"ve been given, if it weren"t for all those countless men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. My freedom to own some land,
have some old tractors and play with them how I see fit was won and defended by people I don"t even know or will ever meet. So weather you or your family has been touched by such a loss or you"re a veteran who has fought for this great country or are actively serving. I just wanted to say Thank You for all that I so often take for granted. God Bless Brokenwrench

Howdy,

Dad was fortunate as his group was next in line to ship over to Vietnam but that order never came. He still stayed in for over 20 years. I thank God for that and for the boys (and girls) who are and have fought for us. God bless you and thank you.

Thanks for the great post about our Veterans who have given so much that we can remain free.

Let us also not forget about the Korean and Vietnam veterans who fought bravely and sacrificed dearly and in some cases with their lives to keep the people of the world free.

My hat is off to all the people of the military who have given their best to keep us all free.

I,m in full agreement with You! Although I am torn by those who oppose our military, & most of what they have done, & are doing. I am reffering to those inside our country, & worst of all mainly politicians. Time to save that discussion for a more appropriate day!

I served proudly in the Desert Shield/Storm myself. Was a cake walk compared to what these boys are dealing with today. My true heroes are the WWII vets. What an incredible generation.

I second everything you said, as a 26 year veteran who came home we owe the real thanks to those who didn"t. Most gave some, some gave ALL.
They did it for us.
