Was this a popular option and is anyone still running the narrow 2 ½ spacing? Can you still buy these sections?

I think that was a reagonal thing, on some books I have it reads as tho they were for a special crop that I don't even know what the crop is tho I think it is some kind of hay. They were never sold here in the western Ohio area. Never seen one with them on. only mower I have seen narrow sections on are garden tractor mowers

the sections on my oliver 415 are only 2 1/2. i run harvest king brand sections and they are the #2 style. can get them smooth, under-serrated and over-serrated. i use under-serrated myself.

Casey - I have a friend who needs a part for his Oliver 415. I was wondering if you could help us?? The part he needs is some sort of "wheel", 8 inch diameter & 2 inches thick with the "hub" being about 2 3/4 inches long. This "wheel" is HEAVILY counterweighted & he says it's connected to the sickle bar (is that the right word) & this wheel supplies the motion & power to make the bar go back & forth. The number cast into the wheel looks like "508222E", though a couple of those numbers could be wrong - there's been some rubbing there... Anything you could do to help with this would be well appreciated. THANKS!!

You might check tractor supply places or sickleservice.com . I had better luck thru old dealers and tractor supplies for my old IHC mower.
