I bought a Jubilee last year. It had a bucket on it and it always worked fine with the hitch locked to the drawbar so the 3 pt wasn't able to go all the way up. I would put it in a good position and shut off the hydraulic line with the faucet handle that it was rigged with. Then the 3pt would only work for a little while and then quit. This year I tore the piston assembly apart and put it a replacement "B" type piston as recommended and a new "O" ring. Now it lifts just great the first time and the very next time you try it, it won't lift at all. The old "O" ring was bad, so that was part of the problem, but apparently not all the problem. It was suggested that it may be the "check" valve or unloading valve. Does that sound right? The pump must be OK or it wouldn't lift at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks Loads - Mike S.

I will preface this post by telling you I am pretty green and NAA hydraulics. I just rebuilt my entire system from pump to lift cover. One thing I kept finding in all my research was how prone these NAAs are to valve sticking. It sounds to me that is your problem. I too had this issue, even after a full rebuild (taking every valve out and cleaning it, new ring, etc.) What I finally did was put a quart of ATF in my hydraulic chamber and let it run lifting the arms, lowering, lifting, etc. The detergent in the ATF worked and unstuck the valve, now my lift lowers as it supposed to and works just great.

Good luck,
Dan

I had a buddy, after 6 months of not lifting(apart-togather etc, etc, groan-moan, to shop back again etc.etc) was looking thru filler hole saw spraying(head scratch) apart again finds bad gasket hyd gos thru casting rearend & to cyld. New gasket and metric bolt driven w/airhammer works great. Alcohol was involved!!!
