Mornin' All,

Sunday, the wife and I hauled a load of old iron down to the farm. On the way back we took the country roads back to the timber just so we could enjoy the derned day.

We both tended to agree that you can tell wheather you are really "out there" when the jackrabbits dig their holes smack in the middle of the county road.

We don't have a lot of fenceline disputes out this way. :>)

Awe, quit complainin. Gonna make me cry myself to sleep thinking about your problem. Gotta love them dirt roads - are my favorite. There's somethin slower paced about life the second you get onto one. LOL.

I take it all went well, anxiety shakes and stuff went away?!!! Can now get down to business of life in a newer old style? Good for you.

Mark

Well, do y'all eat "them" jackrabbits out there? We hunted and ate cottontails ..... in the Winter, rabbit fever and "wooves" in warm weather..... when I was a kid; glad to get them 'cause meat was scarce. No jackrabbits here, although there are swamprabbits in the "bottom"..... ...delta part of the county which lies alongside the Mississippi..... .

Can we assume from your statment that the deal got done? Comgratulations and good luck. I know that your "paying job" can be moved, but will you be staying in that nice bunch of trees or going over to the new place? Got to warn you though, if you count on making a profit farming----forget it.
Kenny

Hi Kenny,

Naw, still in the middle of that other deal.

We went down to the home place on Sunday (different farm). Nope, sure don't expect to make a dime from farming; learned that the hard way a long time ago. :>)

Hi Allan.
Heard a joke that fit’s you and a lot of other farmers.

A guy wins $2million in the lottery.
When the media asked him, what are you going to do with it.
His answer was, “I’m going to quit my day job and keep FARMING until it’s all gone".

Hey now, you have to watch those jack rabbits, they can be nasty neighbors, always trespassing stealing... Just Kidding Allan, sounds like a great area to me. The best neighbors are the friendly ones who live a mile or so away. :-)
